Jefferson Rural Forge

This project was a renovation of a 2-story historic building in downtown Jefferson, IA, turning two adjacent spaces into one tenant space. Formerly, one half of the building was an IOOF lodge, the other half a fire station on the main floor, and the second floor of the entire space was a ballroom. Many of the existing finishes were refurbished to showcase the historic architecture and the blend of new and old make this space truly unique. Woodruff worked diligently with the building owner and State Historic Preservation Office, following strict guidelines for construction and remodeling. It is now occupied by a technology company as a center for careers in computer coding and programming.
