  Fort Dodge Public Library, Fort Dodge, IA:      
  The Fort Dodge Public Library is a 34,000 square foot building serving as the centerpiece of the town square. Its structural steel frame is covered by a brick and stone veneer. The facility has a shingled EPDM roof and a vaulted ceiling system. A forced air and radiant heating system warms and cools the building.

  Story County Justice Center, Nevada, IA:      
    The Story County Justice Center contains 88,975 Square Feet of building space on a site of 11.8 acres. Included in the facility is a courthouse, sheriff’s office, jail housing (96 beds), jail support, lobby, and building support. The exterior of the courthouse consists of brick, hanging pre-cast panels, an aluminum curtain wall, and stainless steel shingles. The lobby has horizontally sloped pre-cast panels as an exterior canopy, interior free-standing pre-cast panels, marble exterior tile, aluminum storefront, and granite panels. The HVAC system is comprised of 101 above-ceiling heat pumps supplied by a geothermal well system. Architects Wells Kastner Schipper of Des Moines designed this project.

  Trinity Regional Medical Center Renovation, Fort Dodge, IA:      
    The renovation on the top floor of Trinity Regional Hospital consisted of selective demolition to existing offices and erecting new metal stud walls for a new office layout. Created were a break room, large room with several work stations, and meeting room.

    Existing offices on the main floor of the hospital were remodeled into newer offices providing information and resources for patients and residents.

    A former school building was renovated into offices and exam rooms. Special treatments are conducted in this masonry-clad facility.

    New offices, open-heart surgical rooms, cath lab, and a cardiac rehabilitation room were created during this renovation. It consisted of new metal stud walls, casework, and finishes.

    The renovation of the Pediatric area consisted of installing new carpet in a corridor and finishes, doors, and casework for several patient rooms.

  13th Street AMOCO-Arby's, Ames , IA:      
    A new building containing both an Arby’s restaurant and Amoco gas station were constructed on 13th Street near I-35 in Ames. The exterior consists of masonry and aluminum storefront.

  Mary Greeley Medical Arts Building, Ames, IA:      
    The Mary Greeley Medical Arts Building is a 45,000 square foot, two-story addition to an existing medical facility with a full basement and an in-ground pool below basement level. The project construction elements included a concrete detention basin, poured in place concrete foundation walls, a structural steel skeleton with masonry shear wall construction, and pre-cast plank with concrete topping on intermediate floors. The exterior is a combination of brick and architectural panels and aluminum curtain wall systems. The interior required extensive casework and medical finishes. The parking lot includes an architectural decorative canopy attached to an existing parking ramp. Woodruff received the ABC Award of Merit for this project.

  Mary Greeley Medical Center, Bliss Cancer Center, Ames, IA:      
    The Bliss Cancer Center Addition to Mary Greeley Medical Center is a 75,000 square foot structure with a basement and four floors above grade. The exterior is comprised of architectural precast panels and a curtainwall. Inside the building are a 6,000 square foot auditorium, surgical rooms, patient rooms, exam rooms, and offices. A glycole system provides radiant heating throughout the facility. A major challenge was successfully undertaken by performing much of the construction while maintaining an existing linkway between two existing buildings.

  Perry Community High School, Perry, IA:      
    The Perry High School is a single-story 102,000 square foot facility, including a 20,000 square foot gymnasium. The structure consists of structural steel bar joists with a masonry exterior and standing seam roof. A forced air HVAC system heats and cools the building.
